The role

As a Business Support Associate, you’ll blend analytical insight with project acumen to support decision‑making and drive smarter, safer outcomes across the organisation.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll work at the heart of the Safety and Assurance Directorate, streamlining processes, monitoring performance, and elevating reporting standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading the collation and analysis of key metrics for performance reporting
  • Liaising with stakeholders to validate and interpret data for senior decision‑making
  • Maintaining registers and documentation for risk, finance, and project controls
  • Producing reports, dashboards, infographics, and presentations to agreed standards
  • Supporting departmental projects and managing SharePoint content

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, with strong analytical skills
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
  • Skilled in problem solving and commercial awareness
  • Financial awareness and understanding of business metrics
  • Familiarity with Babcock procedures and practices - Desirable
Qualifications
  • A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification or suitable experience
  • GCSE in English and Mathematics (Grade C or equivalent)
  • APM Project Management fundamentals or experience in a project management environment - Desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
