Business Support and Helpdesk Officer

North Manchester General are seeking a dedicated and resourceful Helpdesk Operator to join our team and provide top‑notch support to our valued clients. As the first point of contact for troubleshooting and assistance, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be tech‑savvy, customer‑focused, and skilled at problem‑solving.

This role is to directly support the Director of Estates in ensuring that the Directorate both creates and supports a caring environment through the delivery of an effective estates service at best value and quality.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the Estates and Facilities Management (EFM) team to provide a help‑desk service for EFM colleagues, wards and departments and contractors to access services in relation to reactive maintenance.

The operator will communicate work via the CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management Software) systems and radio system effectively and efficiently to ground teams using the CAFM System to record all work and monitor workflow. The operator will always be courteous and polite to all service users.

The post holder will be computer literate and fully conversant with MS Office.

The post holder will be expected to liaise with staff and key stakeholders of all levels and from different organisations; contractor staff and members of the public in person and via the telephone.

The post holder will be expected to professionally receive and greet visitors to the department and competently address any queries whilst exercising discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
