Business Support Administrator - Tissue Viability

We have a fantastic opportunity for a experienced administrator to join our Tissue Viability Business Support Team.

We are looking for a self‑motivated professional with excellent organisation and communication skills, who will provide business support to the Tissue Viability Team. You will be required to format documents using Word, PowerPoint and Excel, update databases, take minutes for team meetings and perform a range of other general administration duties:

  • Assisting clinicians’ workload, being a first point of contact for enquiries from patients, carers and other professionals, liaising with GPs, Integrated Care Teams, Link Nurses and external organisations.
  • Assisting events, including venue, catering and delegate bookings.

The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly and, although situated in one main base at New Kings Court, Chandlers Ford, there will be patterns of home working and at times you may need to support the team in a variety of locations across Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, to perform any ad‑hoc duties.

Please note that a driving licence is essential for this role.

Main duties of the job
  • Carry out clinical diary management, booking rooms, patient appointments, professional meetings, and resolving any queries with clinicians.
  • Ensure referrals are actioned following the agreed service procedures according to the defined performance targets and timescales.
  • Produce letters, emails, literature or memoranda using standardised Trust templates ensuring accurate creation, filing, recording and distribution.
  • Produce accurate minutes and full administration support for a range of meetings.
  • Process mail, telephone, or written messages, taking responsibility for signposting or dealing with queries regarding issues arising.
  • Monitor and order stationery and leaflets, clinical and general supplies and place order request with line manager when necessary.
  • Attend and participate in team and other meetings, ensuring any actions are completed by the required date and to take minutes if requested.
  • Provide administrative support to the Business Support Supervisor to set up and review administration systems and processes as deemed appropriate.
  • Use and accurately populate the electronic record system with information to include referrals, scanning and uploading information from other services in a timely manner etc.
  • Gather information from our systems for statistical collation and audits.
  • Provide support to conferences and training events.

Full‑time position available but we are happy to discuss flexible working options in conjunction with business requirements.
