Salary Range: £26,824 - £28,142 per annum

The Role:

The Business Support Team provides fundamental support to other departments across HIWFRS, by providing first-class administrative and general support. There are approximately 25 administrators, within the Business Support Team. The support offered is a mix of central based and embedded support, within departments to help maintain close working relationships and to enhance department specific knowledge.

This is a unique administrative role within the Business Support Team which is predominantly based at the East Group fire stations working alongside our front-line colleagues. You can embed yourself in station life whilst carrying out the day-to-day tasks which are varied and guided by the needs of the station personnel we support.

This role is supporting fire stations in and around our East Group covering Stations from Cosham, Havant, Southsea, Fareham and Gosport, there is also an expectation of flexibility, which may include providing support to multiple departments and areas as required, to meet the changing needs of the Service and for team resilience.

Responsibilities include:

  • diary management,
  • attending meetings and taking minutes/actions,
  • ordering supplies,
  • dealing with internal and public enquiries,
  • uploading and maintaining electronic filing systems,
  • dealing with sensitive data when processing community safety work,
  • supporting station activities.

This role requires a professional approach and the ability to work proactively to pre-empt the needs of the Service. Travel will be required to provide general support and attend meetings, across various locations in Hampshire, including fire stations. You will be required to drive a Service vehicle and must hold a current full drivers’ licence.

Vetting Requirements:

This role is subject to a Standard DBS Check.
