A prominent educational institution in Hailsham is seeking dedicated Business Studies Teachers for a two-week Summer School course. Successful applicants should have teaching experience, preferably with Young Learners, and a solid background in business education. The role includes lesson planning, teaching, and assisting with extracurricular activities while providing accommodation and meals. Competitive weekly salary with additional holiday pay included.
We are looking for hard‑working, professional and reliable Business Studies Teachers who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure the wellbeing and success of our new Business Leadership course. We are looking for applicants who are knowledgeable and can execute a wide range of high quality business studies and entrepreneurship skills lessons to the international students attending Bede's Summer School. Business Studies teachers must be able to teach a variety of topics in relation to business, this includes, but is not limited to, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Human Resources and Finance. Holding a CELTA/Trinity Cert. TESOL, or other Accreditation UK recognised qualification, is not essential, however due to the nature of Summer School, and the international students we are hosting, it would be beneficial.
£730 per week. Statutory holiday pay is paid pro‑rata with each salary payment on top of the stated weekly salary. Accommodation and meals are provided free of charge.
Business Studies Teachers will be required for the full 2 week duration of the Business Leadership course, running from 5th July to 18th July. After breakfast, all Teachers will attend the teachers meeting. Lessons will then begin after this meeting, lessons will be based on current material in accordance with Bede's syllabus, and are prepared with the help of the Academic Manager and/or Senior Teacher. Lesson planning takes place in the teachers’ room during the afternoon once lessons have finished. Teachers are also encouraged to assist with the wide range of sports, activities and clubs in the afternoon activity sessions, but their priority is always to prepare high quality lessons. One afternoon or evening per week, as part of our commitment to teachers’ professional development, the Academic Manager and/or Senior Teachers lead a 30‑minute input session that all teachers must attend. During the week teachers will be required to assist with a small number of residential duties, such as meal time duties and wake‑up duties. On Fridays, all Teachers attend the leavers’ ceremony and personally hand their students their certificates and Teacher’s Reports. On Saturdays or Sundays Teachers will either be involved with the excursion or Airport Transfers; they will also assist with residential duties where needed.
