Business Services Senior Manager (Fully Remote, UK) – High-Growth Modern Accounting Firm

Salary: £60,000 to £67,500 DOE

Working Style: Fully Remote (UK only)

The Opportunity

As a Senior Manager / Client Director , you’ll take senior responsibility for a portfolio of exciting, high-growth clients — ensuring the delivery of high-quality outsourced finance services while empowering your team to excel.

This is a leadership-focused role with fewer day-to-day client touchpoints, giving you more space for :

  • Strategic oversight
  • Coaching and developing team members
  • Driving commercial growth
  • Improving processes and delivery
  • Ensuring client satisfaction at a senior level

You will also remain ready to step in hands-on where needed — especially during periods of growth or capacity changes.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a remote team
  • Owning the quality and success of client relationships
  • Managing escalations and providing high-level strategic advice
  • Overseeing onboarding and ensuring a seamless outsourced finance function
  • Reviewing complex accounts, VAT and management reporting
  • Monitoring portfolio performance
  • Identifying opportunities for upsells / cross-sells within the firm
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across the practice
What You’ll Bring
  • ACA / ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
  • 4+ years’ experience in a UK practice, in a client-facing role
  • Strong hands-on accounting experience across year-end, VAT, payroll, management accounts
  • Confidence working in a modern, paperless practice with excellent systems awareness
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • A passion for supporting start-ups and high-growth businesses
