Let us tell you a bit more about the role

As a Business Services Officer you will contribute to the effective and efficient management and progression of cases, providing administrative support to the local Family Court Advisers and Service Managers. Your tasks will include:

  • Monitoring case progression.
  • Receiving referrals from the Court or Cafcass Intake Team.
  • Creating, updating and closing cases within our case management system.
  • Sending letters and information packs to service users.
  • Identifying any missing information and following up as required.
  • Receiving and dealing with telephone.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors, including service users.
  • General admin support.
What we are looking for
  • A relevant qualification in business administration (e.g. NVQ2) or a willingness to work towards a qualification and/or significant experience in a similar role.
  • Confident and capable of using MS Office applications to a basic/intermediate level.
  • Clear confident communicator via email, phone and in person.
  • Someone who thrives working in a team.
  • Able to prioritise work in a fast‑moving environment with strict deadlines.
