Business Service Manager - Technology CSC - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
Salary: The starting salary is £53,459, which includes allowances totaling £2,928.
The salary breakdown is: £50,531 basic salary (which will increase annually until reaching the top of the scale at £55,103), a location allowance of £1,928, and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) depends on high-performing individuals in its work every day. As a Business Service Manager, you’ll manage service level agreements, operational level agreements, and underpinning contracts to provide CTP with consistent, high-quality services. Your work will support CTP in keeping the country safe. Bring your skills to our team and help protect the UK.
You’ll join us at the Customer Service Centre (CSC), which provides national IT services for CTP. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll work closely with internal functions and third-party suppliers and vendors to support the ongoing delivery of service level agreements, ensuring they are met.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring and managing services by producing management reports, tracking service levels, holding service review meetings with stakeholders, and liaising with customers and users to identify opportunities for improvements.
At this level, you should have experience with ITIL service management processes, specifically Service Level Management, Supplier Management, Service Reporting, Change Management, and Problem Management. This background will enable you to make decisions in a busy service operations environment.
Your technical knowledge should include IT hardware layers, Cisco and Microsoft technologies, data centre management, and infrastructure and application monitoring and automation tools. Equally important are strong people skills: building relationships and communicating effectively.
