As a Business Risk Read Across Lead, you’ll define, implement, maintain, and own the C&I read across and lessons learned process, providing effective governance and oversight to help prevent potential control failures across the C&I business. You’ll also lead the assessment of potential impacts across franchises, products, customer segments, and legal entities, while ensuring emerging risk exposures, control weaknesses, and thematic issues are escalated in a timely manner with recommendations that support safe growth and good customer outcomes.
Moreover, you’ll oversee the review of risk events, audit findings, regulatory observations, control failures, and incidents to identify read across opportunities by highlighting recurring issues, emerging trends, and intervention areas. Partnering with C&I functions, you’ll also lead thematic and targeted reviews to address control deficiencies, present findings to relevant Executive Committee members and governance forums, and drive the development of a read across and lessons learned repository.

We’re looking for someone with subject matter expertise across Commercial Banking, coupled with strong critical thinking skills and proven experience leading reviews and large-scale responses across Commercial Banking areas. You should also have the ability to identify weak signals, trends, and interconnected themes, while balancing commercial objectives with risk management outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to think beyond individual issues to understand broader franchise-wide implications and drive informed decision-making.
