Job summary

BDO UK LLP seeks an experienced Business Restructuring Senior Manager to lead advisory, turnaround, and insolvency projects within the Advisory team. You will own workstreams, produceIBRs and restructuring reports, and manage client relationships while driving delivery and growth.

The role requires ICAEW/ ACCA qualification and strong Excel/IPS proficiency, with a focus on regulatory compliance and high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

As a Business Restructuring Senior Manager, you’ll join our team working on mainly advisory, turnaround, accelerated M&A and insolvency assignments. The role offers varied and often high-profile work, with early responsibility and genuine opportunities to lead projects, develop junior colleagues, build market relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the business. You’ll lead defined workstreams on larger or more complex projects, prepare draft Independent Business Reviews, restructuring reports and other written or analytical outputs for review, and manage client and stakeholder relationships. You’ll also take ownership of project planning, financial management, quality and delivery, while playing an active role in business development through proposals, pitches and wider team initiatives.

You’ll be someone with:

• A relevant professional qualification (ICAEW/ ACCA)
• Strong financial analysis skills with an proven ability to identify and investigate key issues in a restructuring scenario, challenging where appropriate
• An insolvency qualification is desirable, but not essential
• Up-to-date understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and IPS
• Project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple tasks/shifting priorities.
