Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage (or Portsmouth) is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to bridge IT solutions and projects, ensuring secure, compliant digital services across production and operations. This role requires UK SC Security Clearance eligibility and involves occasional travel to other Airbus sites and customer locations.

This role will suit an inquisitive Business relationship Manager who can be the bridge the gap between IT solution providers and Projects. Requests can be very diverse : one day supporting server obsolescence / upgrade, the other day installation of a business tool, the day after supporting tool interface issues.

How You Will Contribute To The Team...

• Act as the digital department consultant and collaborate with the shop floor
• Develop a solid understanding of the Production business processes, identify key performance drivers, success metrics, and the strategic roadmap (short term and long term) for the business and its enabling technologies.
• Identify areas of IT improvement in business processes providing possible solutions. Pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or gaps and propose solutions that align with strategy, ensuring feasibility, traceability, scalability, interoperability, and compliance meeting
• Translate business needs into IT requirements and champion change to a wide array of Digital contributors (Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Governance, Applications)

About you?

• A willingness and curiosity to learn new technology, solutions and products.
• Pragmatic, solutions based mindset. Experience of prioritising tasks based on information rather than how loud someone is being
• Experience how to make things happen within a typical IT department, gathering, steering and aligning a wide range of internal Digital stakeholders (Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Data Transport, etc.) for an optimised OQOCOT delivery while managing customer expectations and requirements
• Experience translating complex technical concepts into actionable business value
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and negotiation skills to align diverse teams (IT, operations, engineering, security). Comfortable with ambiguity and change.
