Intelance is a specialist consultancy in Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and AI. We are building a lean, senior team to stand up a new Enterprise Architecture function for a major engineering and project-delivery group in North Africa. We are looking for a Business / Process Architect who can map capabilities and processes, work closely with business stakeholders, and write the business-facing parts of the EA artefacts. Strong Francophone experience (and any Arabic exposure) is a real advantage.
Tasks
- Lead workshops with business and IT stakeholders to understand how the organisation actually works today - processes, capabilities, value streams.
- Build clear, practical business capability maps for key domains (e.g. Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Operations, GRC).
- Document as-is and to-be processes at the appropriate level of detail, using BPMN or equivalent notation, without over-modelling.
- Work with the Senior Enterprise Architect to link capabilities, processes, systems, and projects into coherent architecture views.
- Contribute to the design of the EA operating model, including demand intake, working groups, and the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
- Prepare the business sections of architecture artefacts (problem statements, business requirements, impact analysis, value cases).
- Support 1-2 pilot projects going end-to-end through the new EA workflow during the first phase of the engagement.
- Help define business KPI / value measures used in EA dashboards and roadmaps.
- Coach client stakeholders on how to use capability maps and process views in prioritisation and change decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in Business Architecture, Process Architecture, or Senior Business Analysis.
- Proven ability to build and maintain capability maps and process models that are used for decision-making, not just documentation.
- Comfortable facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders across business and IT.
- Experience working in project-driven environments such as engineering, construction, energy, utilities, manufacturing, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex situations into simple, visual models.
- Proficient with BPMN or similar process notation, and confident working with standard tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Able to work in a hybrid model (remote plus occasional on-site visits to Casablanca and/or London).
Nice to have
- Experience working alongside Enterprise Architects on operating models or target architectures.
- French language skills (conversational or fluent) and/or previous work with Francophone or North African clients.
- Understanding of portfolio / PMO environments and how projects are initiated and governed.
- Exposure to ERP/CRM/project tools (e.g. SAP, Dynamics, Primavera, Jira, etc.).
Benefits
- A visible role in designing the business side of a new Enterprise Architecture function for a major engineering and project-delivery group.
- Work in a small, senior team that focuses on practical outcomes rather than heavy bureaucracy.
- Hybrid working model – remote by default, with targeted on-site trips to build strong relationships.
- Chance to work across Intelance’s broader EA, Cybersecurity, and AI practices over time.
- Competitive compensation with scope for long-term collaboration on follow-on phases and other clients.
- Direct access to Intelance leadership and the opportunity to shape our business architecture methods and assets.
If you enjoy turning complex organisations into clear capability maps and practical process designs, and you want your work to drive real decisions rather than sit in a folder, we’d like to hear from you.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a brief introductory call, followed by a practical case discussion with the Intelance team.
