Reservoir is a VC backed startup based in Boston. We believe we have the fastest path to electrify every home in America and eliminate >10% of US carbon emissions with the power of water. We are looking for a hands-on and entrepreneurial Business Operations Lead to get done what needs to get done and build the foundation for growth in a Seed Stage hardware company.

The ideal candidate is tech savvy, passionate about consumer hardware and ready to wear many hats across sales, marketing and operations. You are strategic and analytical but have proven your ability to get beyond the spreadsheet and into the field. You will be on the ground floor of a venture backed startup working directly with an experienced, fast-paced founding team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Be the go-to resource to take new initiatives from 0 to 1.
  • Lead and coordinate projects across GTM, operations, product and partnerships.
  • Own internal operations to keep the team aligned and motivated with the right balance of structure and flexibility.
  • Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and strategic conversations.
  • Act as a thought partner & force multiplier of the founding team, driving focus, follow-through and decision-making on high-priority initiatives.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes action with little guidance. Can thrive in an unstructured, resource-constrained environment.
  • 2-4 years of experience in consulting, investing, operations, product or similar strategic roles.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple assignments at once.
  • Operational, customer focused mindset and experience. Willing and excited to get hands on with physical products and evangelize them.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental science or related field.

Preferred qualifications

  • Business operations, marketing or sales experience in consumer products.
  • Home services, hardware, or climate industry experience.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not required.
  • Engineering degree or hands-on product experience with intelligent hardware.
