We are seeking a Business Manager to join the London Probation Service Centre, based in Norwich. This role is pivotal in supporting probation services across London, ensuring operational delivery is effective, efficient, and aligned with organisational priorities. You will work in a busy and fast‑paced environment, managing people and processes to enable administration teams to deliver high‑quality services.
The MoJ offers hybrid working arrangements where business need allows. This is an informal, non‑contractual form of flexible working that blends working from your base location, different MoJ sites and / or from home (please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas). Some roles will not be suitable for hybrid working. Arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate and subject to regular review.
• Lead and support the delivery of probation services across London. • Manage people and processes within administration teams. • Ensure services are delivered effectively, efficiently and in line with organisational priorities. • Provide leadership, decision‑making and operational oversight in a high‑pressure environment. • Contribute to continuous improvement and the development of operational practices.
• Relevant experience in business management or a related field. • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and complex processes. • Proven leadership, decision‑making and communication skills. • Ability to work within a fast‑paced, regulated environment. • DBS security check (standard).
