Role Overview

The Business Manager is responsible for the success of their business unit, managing a team of van drivers who look after local business across the region. The role focuses on business growth, identifying new opportunities, and optimising sales routes to maximise revenue and profitability. This role requires a mix of fieldwork-travelling with drivers, meeting clients-and office-based work for sales analysis and strategy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Growth - Drive top-line sales for all vans, identifying new business opportunities and expanding customer reach.
  • Gross Profit Management - Increase gross profit for the van business unit through strategic pricing, cost control, and efficiency improvements.
  • Sales Reporting - Analyse sales data and provide monthly reports, including insights, trends, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Staff Management - Motivate, manage, and support the deli van driver team, handling all areas of HR including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Route Development - Optimise and expand sales routes by reviewing stop performance, revenue data, and identifying new customer locations.
  • Brand Standards - Ensure all deli vans meet merchandising and presentation standards in line with brand guidelines.
  • Customer Feedback - Regularly gather and analyse customer feedback, making recommendations to improve products and service offerings.

  • Growth in total sales revenue.
