Job summary

Zurich Insurance in Glasgow is offering a 10-week Business Management Summer Internship for 2027. You’ll gain real responsibility across Claims, Underwriting, Zurich Municipal, Operations and the Customer Office, with a development programme to build key skills.

Successful interns will work in a hybrid setup, be located within commuting distance of the office, and receive a pro rata salary plus benefits including private medical cover and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year of study and on track to receive a minimum 2:1 degree.
• At least 96 UCAS Tariff points from 3 A-Levels or equivalent.
• A*-C in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
• Indefinite right to work in the UK and three years of residency.

What can I look forward to?

Get excited! Your 10-week Summer Business Management Intern programme will give you a role with real responsibility whilst helping you gain a strong understanding of our business, what we do and how we deliver for our customers. You’ll be part of a dynamic organisation, utilising your current skills and building new ones in a fast-paced environment, making great connections and building a network of support along the way.

We have different intern roles across the business, and you could be supporting business areas such as Claims, Underwriting, Zurich Municipal, Operations and the Customer Office. In addition to your day-to-day role, you will also take part in a development programme that gives you key skills and knowledge to support you in your role and enhance your career.

You will need to have the drive and enthusiasm to develop an understanding of our business. Fantastic team working, communication, organisational and influencing skills are key, along with the desire to seize the initiative, adopt a continuous improvement mindset and embrace new opportunities. Be prepared to step outside your comfort zone to deliver for our customers and colleagues.

Whilst we operate a hybrid working policy, office attendance expectations will be agreed with your manager, and you must be within a commutable distance of the office.

Entry requirement:

• You must be in your penultimate year of study and on track to receive a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) from your bachelor's or equivalent degree.
• At least 96 UCAS Tariff points from 3 A-Level subjects or Scottish advanced highers (or equivalent)
• A*-C in English and Maths GCSE or SQA National 5's (or equivalent)
• You must have an indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years.
