Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the UK is seeking an experienced Business Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching to learners ranging from ages 14 to 19 and adult students. The role involves preparing lesson plans, contributing to curriculum development, and ensuring student support and inclusive practices. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Business, a recognized teaching qualification, and have experience with BTEC qualifications. This temporary position offers £35-£40 per hour with a workload of 35 hours per week.

Overview

Seeking an experienced and passionate Business Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching to learners aged 14-19 and adult students across Entry Level to Level 3 programmes, including BTEC Business.

Position

Title: Business Lecturer

Contract: Temporary

Location: Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch, RM11 3TB

Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay: £35-£40 per hour (umbrella)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and student-centred teaching, learning and assessment
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and learning materials
• Support learners through tutorials, feedback, and progress monitoring
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
• Participate in enrolment, induction, and other college processes
• Ensure safeguarding, equality, and inclusive teaching practices are upheld

Requirements

• Degree in Business or related subject
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent)
• Experience delivering BTEC/RQF Business qualifications
• Strong understanding of FE sector teaching and learner support
