About the Role

This role will be focused on designing, developing, and maintaining the Business Intelligence Solution. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing data reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI to support evidence‑based decision‑making across the organisation.
• Delivering timely, accurate, and accessible data visualisations and reports aligned with curriculum performance, learner outcomes, funding requirements, and strategic KPIs.
• Collecting, cleansing, and transforming data from multiple sources to produce high‑quality, meaningful reports and dashboards.
• Applying advanced data processing techniques and managing Dataflows, using SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory, PowerShell, Python, M scripting, QlikView, and Tableau to ensure robust, automated, and user‑friendly BI solutions.
• Working closely with the Financial Controller and the Deputy Principal, Finance and Resources to ensure data integrity and alignment with organisational priorities.

About You

• Highly analytical and detail‑oriented with proven experience delivering impactful Power BI reporting and visualisation solutions.
• Relevant BI or data analytics certifications and advanced skills in SQL and data modelling.
• Experience in data cleansing, DAX calculations, and building intuitive, insightful visualisations that support strategic decision‑making.
• A strong understanding of data integration and confidence working with integrated software systems.
• Ideally, a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering Power BI solutions in a further education environment is a distinct advantage.
