Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a commercial and analytical Business Performance / Business Intelligence Analyst to deliver high-quality insight, performance reporting and forecasting across the organisation. You will turn customer, revenue and commercial data into actionable recommendations and regularly interact with Finance, Operations, Marketing and Business Development.

You will lead executive reporting, KPI analysis and financial modelling while improving reporting processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc performance reporting with executive commentary.
• Maintain and enhance KPI reporting, identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Analyse customer segments, behaviour, retention and marketing ROI.
• Lead development of traffic and revenue forecasts for budgets and reforecasts.
• Maintain financial models and run scenario analyses to quantify impacts.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Marketing and Business Development as an analytics ally.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and improve reporting processes; automate routine tasks.
• Data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance; investigate anomalies.

Description

This Major UK Infrastructure organisation is looking for a commercially focused and highly analytical Business Performance / Business Intelligence Analyst to deliver high-quality insight, business / commercial intelligence, analysis and performance reporting across the organisation. You will turn customer, revenue and commercial data into clear, actionable recommendations that support effective decision making.

You will regularly interact with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Marketing and Business Development. You will take ownership of executive reporting, KPI analysis, forecasting and financial modelling, while helping to improve reporting processes, data quality and analytical capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc performance reporting, including clear executive-level commentary.
• Maintain and enhance KPI reporting, identifying trends, risks and opportunities affecting business performance.
• Analyse customer segments, behaviour, frequency, retention and conversion, as well as marketing and commercial initiatives.
• Lead the development of traffic and revenue forecasts for annual budgets and periodic reforecasts.
• Maintain financial models and produce scenario and sensitivity analysis to quantify potential impacts.
• Act as an analytical partner to colleagues across Finance, Operations, Marketing and Business Development.
• Develop Power BI dashboards, improve reporting processes and identify opportunities to automate routine activity.
• Complete data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance, investigating anomalies and root causes.

• Experience within transport, infrastructure, customer-facing or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of customer lifecycle, retention, customer value or marketing ROI methodologies.

• Experience improving or automating reporting processes.
