Job summary

Sportradar is seeking a dedicated Business Intelligence Analyst to build interactive analytics, scheduled and ad hoc reports, and automate reporting processes for our client base. You will develop visualisations, model data, and collaborate with stakeholders across Sportradar to drive our BI roadmap.

The role focuses on Power BI, SQL, and data governance with potential exposure to Redshift, Athena, and SQL Server. Office-first, with strong collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated technical expertise in business intelligence tools, the design and development of data analytics solutions.
• Strong SQL skills, writing and optimizing queries, joins and aggregations against large datasets.
• Hands-on development experience of software or analytics solutions; knowledge of VBA is a plus.
• Experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query) or similar BI platforms.

The Operational Account Management (OAM) team acts as the main point of contact between our growing client base and Sportradar. We are looking for a dedicated Business Intelligence Analyst to support the unit by developing interactive analytical applications, scheduled customer reports and ad hoc customer report requests. The Business Intelligence Analyst will also recommend and implement improvements to our reporting processes that allow us to automate specific requests coming from our client base.

THE CHALLENGE

• Deliver state-of-the-art data analytics and reporting solutions leveraging our data.
• Development of data visualisations and reports for analysing datasets (Power BI, Excel).
• Periodic reporting: automatic setup and distribution of reports.
• Present ideas and solutions to business users and software developers in a clear and understandable way.
• Propose new, innovative ways of using data to improve our products and services.
• Participate in data modelling for reporting and analytics.
• Co-create and deliver an ambitious business intelligence roadmap in close coordination with various business and technical stakeholders across Sportradar.

YOUR PROFILE

• Demonstrated technical expertise in business intelligence tools, the design and development of data analytics solutions and reports, and querying databases with SQL.
• Solid hands-on SQL skills - writing and optimising queries, joins and aggregations against large datasets.
• Prior experience working on projects related to data management and/or business intelligence.
• The successful candidate will be practised in hands-on development of software or analytics solutions. Knowledge of VBA beneficial.
• Experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query) is a benefit - as is experience with comparable BI platforms, since we're happy to support the transition.
• Knowledge of data governance practices and Power BI security - workspace access, row-level security and controlled sharing of client data - is a benefit.
• An understanding of the gaming and sports betting industry is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena and/or Microsoft SQL Server is a benefit.
