Job description
About The Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated individual to work within the central Business Intelligence Team. A passion for providing an exceptional level of support is essential and you must have a proactive approach to work, remaining professional and confidential always. We are currently consolidating and upgrading our reporting infrastructure. We’re currently building a data warehouse to centralise and standardise data across the organisation, moving away from our legacy reporting tool. This project includes 64 reporting areas and over 500 unique reports, many with multiple versions, that need to be streamlined into concise, filterable Power BI reports.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be responsible for consolidating these reports in Power BI, leveraging both your DAX skills and knowledge of MySQL and Databricks SQL to build insightful, high-performance reports. Since our new data warehouse will reside in Databricks, experience with Databricks SQL is crucial for defining, querying, and optimising datasets to ensure smooth integration with Power BI. You’ll also need to apply Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI to control data access and implement scheduling to ensure reports are updated in real-time.

This role is fully based at our Head Office in Barton-upon-Humber.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work with the BI Manager and the BI Team to gather requirements and develop Power BI reporting to replace 300+ Excel Reports.
  • Work with the BI Manager to test and refine Data Sets to be used in our Power BI Reports within the current Datawarehouse project.
  • Work with the Sr BI Analyst to review and maintain the structure of our existing Suite of BI Reports – Workspaces, Apps, Permissions, Formats etc.
  • Assist the BI Manager with DWH requirements and testing of delivered data for YOY reporting which will be delivered by the whole team.
