Join Us in the International Seller Services Central Analytics Team and Tackle Data Warehousing and Reporting Challenges!

We are a dedicated group of BIEs, DEs, DSs, AS, and BAs within the Seller Services organization at Amazon. Our mission is to deliver data-driven analytical solutions that empower sellers to thrive on Amazon's global platform. We specialize in constructing and maintaining intricate standard data pipelines used by thousands of users worldwide to measure, derive, and analyze seller performance.

We are currently seeking a talented, self-driven, and experienced BIE I to join our team. In this role, you will work on building scalable solutions, including extensive data models and complex ETL pipelines, enhancing data timeliness, discoverability, and availability.

Key job responsibilities

• Connect with industry leaders and work on similar problems involving massive-scale data, providing analytic support to product and program managers, and engineers.
• Utilize your expertise in business analysis, metrics, reporting, and tools like SQL, Excel, Python to translate data into insights.
• Own the insights you develop, playing a key role in tactical decision-making for critical risk areas.
• Build self-service tools and dashboards that provide aggregated metrics and enable granular data access for defect verification, deep-dives, etc.
• Perform deep dives and data analysis, offering recommendations on new metrics or business strategies.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to strategic planning and cross-organizational discussions.

About the team

The ISS-CA team is a cross-functional group of experts including scientists, economists, BIEs, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts. Our mission is to uncover insights into third-party seller behavior and performance, guiding strategic decisions and optimizing the seller experience. We leverage massive-scale data, analytics, and machine learning to drive innovation and business success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Quicksight, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or R.
• Experience gathering business requirements and using BI tools to extract data, formulate metrics, and build reports.
• At least 2 years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's or advanced technical degree.
• Knowledge of data modeling and pipeline design.
