This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business. The purpose of the Business Insights Analyst role is to engage with key stakeholders, collaborate cross‑functionally, and provide actionable insights and recommendations. The role aims to ensure that reporting needs are met, reports remain relevant and up to date, and stakeholders can make informed business decisions based on clear and understandable information. By understanding stakeholder requirements, explaining reports and analytical findings, guiding data utilisation, and fostering strong relationships, the Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering valuable insights and supporting productive collaborations throughout the organisation. This role will be on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract / secondment.

Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and manage a comprehensive suite of regular reports and interactive dashboards for key stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and proactively enhance reports, analyses, and dashboards to meet their evolving needs.
  • Streamline processes and implement improvements to drive efficiency in reporting and dashboard management.
  • Conduct in‑depth analyses of key performance indicators (KPIs), market trends, customer behaviour, and other relevant data sources.
  • Uncover meaningful insights and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Provide insightful and data‑driven commentary to enable informed business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure their reporting needs are met, reports remain relevant and up to date, and insights are provided effectively.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations) to gather data, maintain data integrity, and support reporting requirements.
  • Support ad‑hoc data requests, provide actionable insights, and offer recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their information needs and desired insights from reports and dashboards.
  • Explain reports and analytical findings in a clear, non‑technical manner to enable comprehension and value extraction.
  • Provide guidance on data sources, limitations, and possibilities for analysis, informing stakeholders about available options.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, foster effective communication, and establish trust for productive collaborations.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing reports, analyses, and dashboards.
  • Proactively suggest improvements and implement necessary updates to enhance their value, usability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Assist in the implementation and adoption of business intelligence tools, data visualisation platforms, and other relevant technologies to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and data analysis techniques.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking exercises to inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reporting and analysis processes.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in data analysis, data visualisation, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and data modelling techniques.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of key business metrics, KPIs, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Understanding of database structures and data management principles.
  • Awareness of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies in data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, cleansing, and transformation techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles (internships or relevant projects may be considered).
  • Experience with data visualisation and dashboard creation.
  • Familiarity with querying databases using SQL or other programming languages.
  • Exposure to interpreting and analysing large datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Exposure to advanced tools such as Power BI, DevOps, Cognos, SAP, Salesforce, and many more.
