Job Title: Business Information Security Officer

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid)

Are you a strategic cyber security leader with a passion for protecting complex organisations and shaping secure business growth? Do you thrive on translating business priorities into pragmatic security strategies, building strong security cultures, and ensuring compliance in fast-moving environments?

We're looking for a talented Business Information Security Officer to join our evolving team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with senior leaders across AB Agri and the wider ABF Group to drive the adoption of our cyber security programme, strengthen our security posture, and ensure we remain resilient, compliant, and future-ready.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of the ABF cyber security programme, strategy, and framework across AB Agri.
  • Ensure all Agri cyber initiatives align with Group cyber strategy and demonstrate ongoing compliance.
  • Act as Trusted Security Advisor to the Agri CEO and senior leadership, converting business priorities into robust security strategies.
  • Provide Board-level updates, including threat analysis, security trends, incident reporting and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee vulnerability management across all AB Agri entities and ensure effective incident response readiness.
  • Develop and evolve the Security team structure to support long-term organisational goals.
  • Drive security culture improvements through training, phishing simulations and awareness programmes.
  • Maintain oversight of the Security budget, escalating risks and liaising with Group Cyber Security and external partners.
What you'll bring:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior and Board level.
  • Experience working in a cyber security, governance, risk, and compliance environment.
  • Extensive experience in cyber security incident management and vulnerability oversight.
  • A proactive, inquisitive, and self-starting approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organisational awareness and the ability to balance risk, compliance, and business needs.
  • Business-level English, both written and spoken.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Security qualifications such as CISMP or CISSP.
