Job summary

We are seeking a Business Information Analyst for Babcock, based in Corsham with hybrid working arrangements. You will support the delivery of critical information, reporting and analysis to underpin the UK’s military satellite communications capability.

The role involves producing capacity reports, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to improve reporting processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Support the Principal Business Analyst and provide cover where required.
• Improve reporting processes and contribute ideas that enhance efficiency and business performance.

The role

As a Business Information Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support the delivery of critical information, reporting and analysis that helps ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of the UK's constellation of military satellites and ground stations. Working within a collaborative team, you'll have the opportunity to influence decision-making, improve reporting processes and develop your analytical skills while contributing to projects that have a direct impact on national security.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

• Produce weekly and monthly capacity reports using forecast and snapshot data.
• Analyse key performance information and identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Capacity Managers, Network Planners, Service Managers and customer stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting.
• Support the Principal Business Analyst and providing cover where required.
• Improve reporting processes and contributing ideas that enhance efficiency and business performance.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns available with an onsite presence typically required 2-3 days per week due to secure reporting requirements.

Essential experience of the Business Information Analyst

• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience analysing information and producing accurate reports.
• A collaborative approach with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
