Job description

Business/Economics Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a full or part‑time (3 or 4 days per week) Business and Economics Teacher to work at an exceptional private school on the outskirts of York. The role starts 12th January and ends 30th June initially, with the potential to become permanent should the candidate perform well.

Salary: £2,916 – £51,047 per year depending on experience and qualifications.

Working hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with one mandatory training day per week until around 6:30 pm.

The school is located approximately 10 miles from York, commutable from North Yorkshire and Harrogate, accessible primarily by car with limited public transport.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in Business Studies, Economics, or both to Key Stage 4 and 5 students. You will amend existing lessons to make them more exciting and engaging. You will also support a strong department that values teaching academic subjects.

Qualifications & Requirements

• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Business or Economics at Key Stage 4 or above
• Experience working within schools in the UK
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover full CV history
• Legal right to work in the UK
