As a Senior Business Development Manager based in Leeds you will play a crucial role in our firm’s Regional market growth programme. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead our growth strategies across the North East (Leeds Yorkshire Newcastle Humber) by identifying and nurturing relationships with businesses, especially those in the private sector including privately owned and private‑equity‑backed enterprises. You will be supported by a highly specialised team and will work very closely with the business leadership across your territory.

What your days will look like

Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain robust trust‑based relationships with C‑suite executives across various industries. Your ability to converse confidently about intricate business matters will unlock new avenues for business development.

Strategic Sales Leadership: Utilise your extensive sales experience to secure high‑quality meetings, engage clients with our unique propositions and facilitate conversions that ensure profitable growth for the firm.

Market Insight & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of market trends and leverage insights to enhance the firm’s go‑to‑market strategies. Serve as the region’s expert constantly engaging with internal teams to foster collaboration and communication.

Networking & Collaboration: Leverage your network and develop relationships with key intermediaries and influencers within the regional ecosystem ensuring the firm remains at the forefront of market opportunities.

Team Empowerment: Guide and mentor internal teams upskilling them on our cutting‑edge sales methodologies and instilling a culture of sales excellence through your leadership.

This role is for you if :

You have demonstrable success in a sales‑focused role consistently meeting or exceeding targets within a business development setting.

You have a comprehensive understanding of private‑market dynamics, particularly within fast‑growing private‑equity‑backed and family‑owned enterprises.

You have a track record and genuine interest in understanding and using cutting‑edge technologies to drive positive client outcomes and maximising value to internal stakeholders.

You have the ability to conduct insightful human‑led tech‑enabled conversations that resonate with clients and potential business partners.

You are a natural team player with strong influencing and coaching capabilities able to navigate complex organisational structures effectively.

You exude high levels of commercial insight and understanding of strategic business drivers enabling you to assess and mitigate client risks.

You thrive in an ever‑changing work environment and have the ability to pivot quickly in order to maximise business opportunities.

You will be able to drive your own skills development across our unique learning platform and be comfortable with autonomy and strategic decision making in order to achieve the best outcomes and value for the firm.
