Role Summary

This position is focused on business development within the Higher Education sector, specifically supporting growth in advisory services related to education, skills, and productivity within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Go To Market strategy for Higher Education, developing and converting a strong pipeline.
  • Collaborate with client partners to expand contacts and opportunities at target universities.
  • Develop and promote new advisory products, such as Powered Student.
  • Enhance the firm's profile through conferences, speaking engagements, and relationship management.
  • Maintain best practices in CRM and pipeline management.
  • Support regional and strategic planning, including opportunity qualification and proposal development.
  • Coach and mentor team members in sales approaches to ensure profitable growth.

Client Relationships

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of target clients, focusing 80% of time on sales activities.
  • Build and deepen client relationships, identify issues, and facilitate expansion of contacts.

Sales and Business Development

  • Manage sales pipelines, develop strategies, and convert opportunities.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration to enhance sales efforts.

Knowledge, Communication, and Coaching

  • Leverage internal networks and facilitate communication within teams.
  • Share knowledge, coach team members, and bring innovative ideas to the account.

Proposals and Key Metrics

  • Coordinate tenders and pitches, ensuring alignment with client needs and firm strategy.
  • Track and report on sales, pipeline, and client engagement metrics.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector, gained through relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 6+ years in sales or client-facing roles, preferably in professional services.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with a strategic mindset.
