Job description

Location: Stockport HQ (office-based only, with travel across the North West)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reports to: Operations Director

We haven’t set a salary for this role, because we’re more interested in you. Show us who you are, what you bring to the table, and tell us what you believe you’re worth.

C4 Care isn’t your average home care company, and we don’t plan to be. We’re bold, we’re growing fast, and we’re on a mission to reshape how complex care is delivered in the community. We believe in people, passion, and partnerships, and now we’re looking for a Business Relationship Manager who shares that same drive to make care better, smarter, and more connected. This is your chance to join an established, respected, and fast-moving business with a big heart and even bigger ambitions.

The Opportunity

This isn’t just a sales or partnership role; it’s a career-defining position for someone who wants to be right at the heart of strategy, growth, and impact. You’ll be working side‑by‑side with our Operations Director, helping to lead business growth across our existing services and playing a key part in developing our newly acquired care company in Wigan. If you’re ambitious, proactive, and thrive in an environment where no two days look the same, this is your stage.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with commissioners, case managers, independent brokers, and local authorities across the North West. All while supporting the OD with any day‑to‑day tasks and assignments that may be required.
  • Bringing your own network to the table and knowing how to turn connections into opportunities.
  • Spotting, shaping, and securing new business opportunities that align with our growth plans.
  • Working closely with the leadership team to drive business development strategies and expansion plans.
  • Getting hands‑on, supporting the OD with everything from partnership pitches to strategic meetings to operational follow‑ups. Really becoming a ‘Right Hand’.
  • Playing a key role in building our newly acquired Wigan‑based business, helping to grow its reputation, services, and market presence.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Experienced: You’ve held senior roles in business development or relationship management within health and social care.
  • Well‑Connected: You already know the key players, commissioners, case managers, brokers, and, more importantly, they know you.
  • Exceptionally Organised: You’re meticulous when it comes to details, follow‑ups, and documentation. Nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Tough & Resilient: You’re not afraid of rejection, tough conversations, or high‑pressure situations; you see challenges as opportunities.
  • Hands‑On: You’re not above rolling up your sleeves, supporting your team, and getting involved at every level.
  • Strategic & Creative: You think outside the box, love solving problems, and know how to turn bold ideas into action.
  • Tender Writing Savvy: You have experience crafting and submitting strong tenders that stand out and win business.
  • Collaborative: You thrive in a close‑knit team environment and enjoy working alongside senior leadership to drive results.
  • Mobile & Flexible: You’re happy to travel across the North West for meetings, site visits, and networking (full UK driving licence required).
What’s In It for You
  • 25 days holiday + your birthday off
  • Casual dress & a relaxed, friendly HQ environment
  • Company events that are actually enjoyable (we promise)
  • Company pension & 2x Death in Service cover
  • Electric Vehicle scheme & Cycle to Work scheme
  • Health & Wellbeing Programme
  • Employee discounts & store perks
  • Free parking & great transport links
