About you
  • A relevant third-level qualification (Level 4 or above) in a business-related discipline or at least 3 years’ relevant experience in economic or community development
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience delivering projects in economic, rural, or community development
  • Strong planning, organisational, and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to analyse business plans, funding applications, and financial claims
  • Full current driving licence (or suitable alternative transport arrangement if required)
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends
What you’ll do
  • Support the delivery of a wide range of business and economic development programmes, including mentoring, grants, and networking initiatives
  • Provide advice and guidance to local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community groups on funding opportunities and business growth support
  • Assist with project management, including application processing, financial claims, and reporting to funding bodies
  • Monitor and evaluate project outcomes to ensure compliance and measure impact
  • Co‑ordinate and deliver business events, exhibitions, and promotional activities
  • Work closely with partner organisations and delivery agents to implement funded projects
  • Support external funding applications by compiling research, progress reports, and financial documentation
  • Promote local business engagement through digital platforms, press releases, and community outreach
