Description

Our client is seeking to further expand their As a Service offering with the hire of a Business Development Manager to focus on the Truck sector.

The role is a wholly new business one where you will be expected to forge relationships at C level with enterprise level customers whose truck fleets are 250 vehicles in size or larger.

The As a Service proposition requires concept sales skills to evangelise to C level executives that owning or indeed financing and managing a large scale truck fleet is an inefficient use of capital and resources.

Your role will one of convincing enterprise level customers that is it access to a truck fleet on a purely pay as you use basis represents better use of their capital and with much increased flexibility.

Candidate Profile

To apply your career experience must include

  • Success in acquisition and financing programs for OEMS/Large Investment Grade Fortune 500 Businesses within the European Truck/LGV (Large Commercial Vehicle) and Operator markets
  • Possess an existing network of decision makers within UK and / or European based truck operators with fleet sizes over 250 trucks that can be leveraged immediately on commencement of the role

The above are pre requisites to be considered as our clients are only seeking to employ a Business Development Manager with a depth of Truck sector experience and also a network of contacts to re-leverage.

Additionally your background will encompass :

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within B2B asset finance working for banks, asset finance companies, captive finance units of global manufacturers, leading truck manufacturers/OEM, or selling trucks to Large Investment Grade Businesses
  • Having reached a senior executive level in the Sales division, selling asset finance solutions/vehicle finance solutions and/or fleets of vehicles into Targets
  • Experience of directly managing high value opportunities with complex contracting arrangements and working with Targets interacting directly with procurement teams / sales teams / treasury teams at the most senior levels
  • Experience of building new relationships and bringing new ideas to ensure the company is at the forefront of asset finance leadership/Innovation within the truck market

You will also possess

  • Strong contract negotiation experience of large, complex and sensitive strategic arrangements
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of business partnering with leadership teams/c-suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to represent the company at European procurement events to a wide audience
  • Strong understanding of risk management in the context of third parties whilst meeting the demands of the business
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work alone, with initiative, hunger to succeed and results orientated
Working Arrangement

The position is a hybrid one that requires you to work from our clients central London offices for 2 days a week, the balance you can work from home. Please only apply if this hybrid working is both viable and sustainable for you based on your location.
