Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Diseases Division (ARDx) is recruiting a Business Development Manager for the Midlands region. This strategic sales role focuses on driving Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) leadership in Point‑of‑Care provision across NHS hospitals, community and private healthcare providers.

Territory

Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Burton‑upon‑Trent, Chesterfield, Warwickshire.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans.
  • Achieve sales targets and deliver revenue.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders and cross‑functional teams including market access, marketing and sales.
  • Provide timely forecasts of performance, product demand and expenditure.
  • Lead and initiate projects to support growth initiatives.
Profile
  • Degree or higher in Business, Biological Science or related field.
  • Significant diagnostics or medical devices industry sales experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the UK healthcare industry, NHS and private providers.
  • Consistent track record of profitable growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Self‑starter, adaptable, able to work under pressure in a fast‑changing environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, high initiative, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent organisational, facilitation and presentation skills.
