  • Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers.
  • Meeting brokers in person and through phone/email.
  • Attending team meetings and contributing towards goals.

  • Arranging follow-ups with brokers.
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to provide solutions.
  • Updating details of new brokers.
  • Updating weekly reports.

Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 (Depending on experience)

Days/ Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

The company

We're working in partnership with a well-established insurance firm based in Chelmsford to find an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and high‑performing team within a business that's known for its strong client relationships and industry reputation. The role offers a varied mix of office‑based work, client meetings, and attending trade shows and industry events. You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and helping drive growth across key markets. Duties
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with brokers within the South East and East of England Area.
  • Meeting brokers in person as well as liaising with them through phone and email.
  • Attending team meetings and contributing towards goals.
  • Attending trade shows and networking events.
  • Arranging follow‑ups with brokers.
  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities, driving growth for the business.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to provide solutions to meet the unique needs of each broker.
  • Updating and checking details of new brokers.
  • Updating weekly reports.
