Job description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working on an exclusive basis with a leading provider of industrial batteries accessories, technology and data related products. Focusing predominantly on the material handling sector they require a new Business Development Manager to work on a national basis in growing the end user customer basis in addition to forklift OEM’s & battery manufacturers. With a competitive salary and bonus on offer and scope for growth, this is fantastic opportunity for a consultative sales professional from either material handling or another sector looking to take on an exciting and challenging role with a market leading organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Targeting OEM’s, end user & distributor accounts across the UK in a number of different market sectors, mostly industrial and warehousing related
  • Providing a solutions based approach in understanding customer requirements for batteries accessories and technology services
  • Work in conjunction with material handling provider’s and other parties to ensure the customer expectations are fulfilled and a full solution is provided to an adequate standard
  • Be supported by a team based in the UK and abroad to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Occasional European travel to meet with existing customers
Requirements

There is no set background for this role, but the company are keen on speaking to individuals in particular with a technical sales background with a good general financial understanding. Candidates with good numerical skills would also be preferred. Ultimately the company are looking for driven and energetic individuals with professionalism and a long-term aim of having a sales career. The role comes with a lot of investment in the candidate for the longer term including on-going training and development and consistent salary reviews. A full UK driving license is also required. In terms of location you will ideally be located within the North West but my client are open to individual slightly further a field who are willing to travel to their office one day a week.
