Are you an experienced freight forwarding professional with a strong track record in sales, business development, and regional leadership? Our client, a well‑established global logistics provider, is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives and manage commercial activities across Scotland and the North East of England.

As a key member of the UK commercial team, you will be responsible for driving new business, nurturing existing customer relationships, and ensuring that regional sales operations align with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the freight forwarding and logistics market.
  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships, ensuring the highest levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Act as the Company Representative for Scotland and the North East, promoting the brand and building a strong regional presence.
  • Lead and motivate the regional sales team, setting clear objectives and driving performance against targets.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies aligned with UK-wide business goals.
  • Oversee sales administration and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate performance updates to senior management.
  • Manage branch budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial responsibility across operations.
  • Support the resolution of customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and present regular performance and progress reports to senior leadership.
  • Undertake other duties as required to support commercial and operational success.
