We’re here to share that know-how and do our bit to help the roofing industry thrive.

We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Fix‑R flat roofing product range across the Northern region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a market‑leading brand, develop strong customer relationships, and play a key role in delivering commercial success.

About the role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for achieving annual sales targets by promoting the full Fix‑R range through the SIG Roofing branch network. You’ll manage and grow existing accounts while targeting and securing new customers within the flat roofing sector.

You’ll act as the technical expert for Fix‑R delivering product demonstrations, supporting branches, advising customers, and influencing buying decisions. Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll play a key part in driving market penetration and product adoption.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Driving sales of Fix‑R products to achieve regional targets
  • Developing existing customers and winning new business
  • Identifying and converting sales opportunities in the flat roofing market
  • Providing expert technical knowledge to branch teams and customers
  • Monitoring sales and margin performance, addressing gaps and highlighting opportunities
  • Delivering product demonstrations, training, and system support
  • Providing guidance on take‑offs, quantities and roofing solutions
  • Keeping up to date with competitor products, market trends and opportunities
  • Collaborating effectively with the wider SIG Roofing sales team
What you’ll have :
  • Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems, including membranes and liquid‑applied solutions
  • Understanding of installation requirements, build‑ups and relevant standards (British / European)
  • Proven sales experience, ideally within roofing or construction products
  • Confidence delivering demonstrations, training, and technical guidance
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building and influencing skills
  • Self‑motivated, ambitious and driven to achieve results
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, including effective journey planning
  • Competent with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and CRM systems
  • Full UK driving licence
In return we offer :
  • Highly Competitive salary with annual pay award and excellent bonus scheme
  • Company Car / Allowance
  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays. Company closed during Christmas period
  • A great pension, with SIG contributing up to 7.5% and up to 4x life insurance
  • Money saving with retail discounts via colleague portal
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Share Incentive Scheme
