Business Development Manager - Dispute Resolution (12-month FTC, starting January 2026)

A leading London law firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its Dispute Resolution team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This dynamic practice focuses on Commercial Disputes, Civil Fraud, International Arbitration, Business Crime, Media Litigation, and International Construction.

The Role:
Reporting to the BD & Marketing Director, the BDM will shape and deliver strategic business development plans, drive client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and enhance the firm's profile in key markets. The role includes managing a BD Executive and collaborating closely with partners and marketing specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement BD strategies for disputes sub-groups.
  • Build relationships with referrers and influencers to generate new business.
  • Lead thought leadership campaigns, events, and award submissions.
  • Support pitches, tenders, and high-quality marketing collateral.
  • Coach partners on BD best practice and manage junior team members.

  • Proven BD experience in a law firm, ideally within Dispute Resolution.
