VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading international manufacturer within the materials processing and aggregate equipment sector to recruit a Business Development Manager.

This role will suit a commercially driven individual with strong technical understanding of aggregate production processes and a passion for developing business across global markets.

The successful candidate will support sales teams, distributors and customers across EMEA, the Americas and APAC, developing quotations, proposals and tailored solutions to meet customer needs while driving growth for the organisation.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Support internal sales teams, distributors and customers with process definition, equipment selection and commercial proposals.

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality quotations, value propositions and project presentations.

  • Identify and engage aggregate producers with potential for plant upgrades or investment in full plant solutions.

  • Recommend cost-effective solutions that enhance customer profitability and return on investment.

  • Develop and manage pricing, quotation and bid strategies in line with company standards and approval processes.

  • Collaborate with distributors and supply chain partners to define scopes of work and deliver proposals.

  • Lead or support contract negotiations with customers and partners.

  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

  • Provide training and product promotion to distributors and customers when required.

  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Finance and Operations teams.

About You

You will have:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (engineering, business, or technical sales).

  • Strong knowledge of aggregates, materials handling, or processing equipment.

  • The ability to interpret plant layouts and production requirements.

  • Excellent commercial acumen with proven experience in solution-based sales or business development.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills with confidence engaging both technical and commercial stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools is an advantage.

  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%).
