About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to lead our referrals and partnerships strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our children’s residential and educational services.

Location and Salary

Location: Willenhall (with travel across the East Midlands, West Midlands & North West – Hybrid working)

Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive business development and referrals strategy
  • Build, strengthen, and manage relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and external partners
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the region
  • Analyse market trends and referral data to inform strategic planning
  • Represent the organisation at meetings, networking events, and sector forums
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure effective placement processes and service delivery
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development, referrals, or placements within children’s social care or education
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of local authority commissioning processes
  • Proactive, professional, and passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive, values-driven team
