A rapidly growing civils and groundwork company in Stafford is looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to help grow their client base, strengthen relationships, and identify new commercial opportunities as part of their continued expansion.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to take ownership of business growth and client engagement. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business, maintaining key accounts, and supporting the company's long‑term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the groundworks, civils, and construction sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and bids to secure new contracts.
  • Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to ensure client needs are met.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings.
  • Provide regular business development reports and market insights to senior management.
Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client management within civils, groundworks, or construction is essential.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
