Business Development Manager

Location: Manchester (Depot/Home/Field-Based) | Salary: circa £30,000 base + commission (OTE £41,000+) | Contract: Full-time, Permanent | Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role

You’ll be part of a dynamic new business sales team, responsible for identifying and securing contracts with local businesses.

  • 100% new business development
  • Cold calling, door knocking, and lead generation
  • Managing your pipeline and CRM with precision
  • Reviewing existing contracts and negotiating improved terms
  • Selling the value of our client’s service – not just the bin
What We’re Looking For

Different backgrounds will be considered – what matters is attitude and ability. You might be:

  • A telesales or recruitment consultant ready to step into a field-based role
  • Someone with experience selling merchant services, PayPal, or card machines
  • A natural salesperson who builds rapport and gets results

Essential qualities:

  • Confidence and resilience to cold call and knock on doors
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and CRM effectively
  • A self-starter who knows their patch and gets stuck in
