Business Development Manager – Retail Sales

Location: Nottingham | Financial Services / Investment Management

About the Role

Our client, a well-established and growing investment group, is seeking an ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to join their Retail Sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive sales professional to build strong relationships with financial advisers, drive new business, and contribute to the growth of a respected financial institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a broad network of financial advisers.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting.
  • Conduct predominantly telephone-based sales to open new accounts and grow fundraising from existing supporters.
  • Engage in cold calling, follow up on marketing leads, and represent the company at key industry events.
  • Schedule meetings for the Senior BDM (via telephone, Zoom, or face-to-face).
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activity and pipeline updates within the CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Use data insights to guide activity and enhance productivity.
  • Keep up to date with market developments, regulatory changes, and product knowledge.
  • Consistently deliver on quarterly and annual performance objectives set by management.
