Business Development Manager - Industrial Refrigeration (Heavy Commercial & Industrial)

Salary: £70,000 basic + bonus

Car: Hybrid / Electric company vehicle (or similar low-tax option)

Location: UK-wide (open location, regular travel required)

Industry: Industrial Refrigeration - Food, Process, Manufacturing

We are recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to join a leading player in the industrial refrigeration sector. This role focuses on securing and developing business across heavy commercial and industrial environments, with a particular emphasis on food manufacturing, process cooling, and large-scale industrial applications.

This is not a supermarket refrigeration position — we are looking for someone with deeper industrial exposure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business across the industrial refrigeration market (food, processing, manufacturing, distribution, etc.)
  • Manage and grow relationships with key clients and strategic accounts
  • Engage with end users, process engineers, project teams and industrial customers
  • Travel across the UK as required to meet customers and attend sites
  • Drive revenue growth and develop long‑term partnerships
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Strong background in industrial or heavy commercial refrigeration
  • Experience working with food processing / industrial cooling equipment
  • Ability to support design, costing and technical proposals
  • Solid commercial acumen and experience closing high‑value projects
  • Confidence engaging with engineering teams and end users
  • Willingness to travel across the UK
Preferred but not essential
  • Exposure to ammonia, CO₂, or industrial chillers
  • Experience in process cooling or large‑scale industrial plant
  • Existing network in the food or manufacturing sectors
