Senior Business Development Manager

As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking an accomplished Senior Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and expand their high-value introducer and stakeholder network.

This is a senior, outward-facing position responsible for generating high-quality new business opportunities and cultivating long-term client relationships. You will play a key role in engaging with C‑suite and senior decision-makers, understanding their risk and employee benefit needs, and presenting tailored insurance solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to acquire new commercial clients across a range of industries.
  • Build and nurture relationships with C‑suite leaders and senior stakeholders within small, mid‑size, and large organisations.
  • Create and manage a high‑performing introducer network including professional services firms, intermediaries, and key referral partners.
  • Work closely with internal technical and advisory teams to design insurance programmes aligned with client requirements.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
  • Maintain strong, trusted relationships with new clients to support long‑term retention and recurring revenue.
  • Report on pipeline activity, revenue forecasts, and relationship development milestones.
Qualifications
