The Role

We’re seeking a Business Development Manager to drive partnership origination and deal execution across DeFi protocols, vault platforms, and liquidity infrastructure projects.

You will represent Ergonia DeFi externally, building relationships with protocols, foundations, DAOs, and DeFi platforms to identify liquidity needs and structure bespoke market-making or liquidity provision partnerships.

This role is highly strategic and externally facing: you’ll be the commercial bridge between Ergonia’s trading desk and the protocols we support.

  • Partnership Origination: Originate and develop relationships with DeFi protocols, token projects, and DAOs seeking liquidity or trading expertise support.
  • Deal Structuring: Design and negotiate liquidity partnerships, vault integrations, market-making arrangements, and custom capital deployment frameworks.
  • Ecosystem Coverage: Map and prioritize emerging ecosystems, chains, and protocols where Ergonia can add value.
  • Counterparty Engagement: Act as the main commercial contact for external partners — managing discussions from first call through execution and ongoing relationship management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Ergonia’s trading, strategy, and operations teams to translate partner goals into executable liquidity strategies.
  • Market Intelligence: Track DeFi market trends, new protocol launches, and liquidity incentive structures to proactively identify deal opportunities.
  • Representation: Represent Ergonia DeFi at industry events, conferences, and online communities, building brand presence and trust within the ecosystem.
Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or institutional sales in crypto, DeFi, or financial markets.
  • Deep understanding of DeFi market structure, liquidity provision, and DEX mechanics.
  • Proven ability to structure and close deals with protocols, token foundations, or liquidity partners.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills: CRM discipline, pipeline management, and follow-up rigor.
  • Self-starter with an ownership mindset, capable of operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Existing network among DeFi protocol teams, foundations, or liquidity partners.
  • Familiarity with AMM and CLOB designs, token incentives, and on-chain liquidity programs.
  • Exposure to DeFi trading, market-making, or structured liquidity products.
  • Comfort engaging with technical concepts (DEX integrations, yield vaults, etc.).
  • Global experience and ability to operate across multiple ecosystems and time zones.
