Job description
Business Development Manager - Data & AI Solutions

Remote (UK-based, with regular travel to London)
£80,000 base + double OTE (uncapped)

A specialist Data & AI consultancy helping FS&I organisations accelerate AI adoption and build sustainable, high‑performing data capabilities is recruiting for a Business Development Manager who can open new doors, build trusted relationships, and drive new business across the FS&I market.

Their clients include some of the UK's most recognised financial institutions, and their partnerships span leading technology platforms including Databricks, Microsoft, and AWS.

Reporting to C‑suite, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for winning new logos and expanding the client's footprint within the Financial Services and Insurance sector. You will identify, qualify, and close opportunities across data strategy, platform modernisation, AI transformation, and managed service offerings.

You’ll collaborate closely with technical and delivery teams to design tailored client solutions that solve complex data challenges and accelerate business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a territory plan to target key FS&I prospects across banking, insurance, and fintech.
  • Drive new logo acquisition through proactive prospecting, networking, and targeted outreach.
  • Engage senior stakeholders (typically CDO, CTO, and Head of Data/Analytics) to understand their challenges and position our client as a trusted partner.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Delivery Leads to shape compelling proposals and statements of work.
  • Own the full sales cycle — from discovery to negotiation and close.
  • Build and nurture a strong pipeline, maintaining accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with technology partners (Databricks, Microsoft, etc.) and system integrators to generate joint opportunities.
  • Represent at industry events, roundtables, and partner forums.
About You
  • Proven track record of winning new business within the data, analytics, or cloud technology space.
  • Experience selling into Financial Services & Insurance organisations in the UK.
  • Skilled at identifying and qualifying complex opportunities within consultative or solution‑based sales cycles.
  • Able to communicate the value of Data & AI transformation in clear business terms.
  • Strong network across the UK FS&I data community (desirable).
  • Motivated by growth, autonomy, and the opportunity to build something exceptional.
  • Confident, collaborative, and commercially astute.
What's on offer
  • Competitive £80k base + double OTE (uncapped).
  • Remote‑first working with regular London meet‑ups and client visits.
  • The chance to join a fast‑growing consultancy at the forefront of Data & AI transformation.
  • Exposure to cutting‑edge technology partnerships (Databricks, Azure, AWS).
  • A culture that rewards initiative, values authenticity, and celebrates shared success.
