Due to continued growth, we have a new opportunity to join our team at Canterbury Cathedral as a Business Development Manager.

This role will work with the Head of Estates and Fabric to develop the potential for our heritage skills experts to take on more income-generating external work including external contracts and private commissions. The role is wide ranging and will include:

  • Reviewing and developing policies and procedures
  • Leading and managing tender submissions for new contracts
  • Providing administrative support including managing contracts
  • Acting as the main contact for clients, site managers and contractors

This is a new role, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to shape and influence our approach through your expertise and experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position, with a proven track record of:

  • Writing tenders and managing end to end proposals
  • Growing business markets
  • Working to tight deadlines
