Job summary

A leading optical firm is seeking a Business Development Manager for a 6-month fixed contract. In this role, you will engage with existing optical customers about audiology services, meet sales targets, and manage patient conversions. Ideal candidates will have proven telesales experience and strong communication skills. Salary is £35,000 per year with a bonus of approximately £5,000, and there is flexibility for remote work part of the week.

Responsibilities

  • Contact existing optical customers about audiology services.
  • Answer product inquiries and address customer needs.
  • Secure new business for the Audiology Domiciliary Team.
  • Manage NHS and Private patient sales.
  • Meet and exceed sales KPIs and SLAs.
  • Keep records of calls, sales, and useful information.
  • Collaborate with other teams.

Role: Business Development Manager (6 month fixed term contract)

Location: Office based in BD14, but with the possibility to arrange part of the week working from home.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm

Salary is £35,000 per annum plus bonus of circa £5,000 per annum

Responsibilities

Contact existing optical customers to inform them about our audiology services and products

Answer questions about products or the company and discussing the customers needs

Ask questions to understand customer requirements and secure new business for the Audiology Domiciliary Team

Manage NHS and Private patient sales and conversions

Ensure you meet and exceed set business KPI's and SLA's in line with company processes, and procedures

Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information

Work collaboratively with other teams within the Domiciliary Business to encourage positive teamwork

Requirements and skills
  • Proven experience in outbound telesales
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales and conversion targets over the phone
  • Good knowledge of sales techniques to overcome objections
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints if required
