Job summary

A logistics company based in St Albans is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. Ideal candidates will have previous B2B sales experience, strong IT skills, and a proactive attitude. This position offers a salary of up to £45k with additional OTE of £10k, company car, and benefits including 22 days holiday.

  • Submit quotes and devise conversion strategies.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings.
  • Assist with marketing projects.

We are recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join an established and forward-thinking logistics company in St Albans.

If you have previous sales experience, an interest in commerce and want to take the next step in your career journey, then this is the opportunity you have been seeking!

Working in a team of 5, the successful candidate will proactively develop new business and build and nurture existing client relationships to maximise the potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a level of 50 - 75 targeted new business calls per week.
  • Build strong personal relationships with new and existing clients
  • Negotiate with clients and suppliers
  • Submit quotes, overcome objections and devise conversion strategies to win business.
  • Account management.
  • Attend a weekly sales meeting
  • Assist with Company marketing projects, for example LinkedIn posts, marketing literature, e-shots
  • Some travel around Europe twice a month once established in the role
