Overview

Business Development Executive – Location: Bracknell | Salary: Up to 30,000 plus £12,000 commission | Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week | Status: Full time / Permanent

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to focus on lead generation and new business growth within the HVAC, construction, or market intelligence industries. This role requires a proactive individual with strong sales experience, excellent communication skills, and a determined “go-getter” attitude.

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a critical role in expanding the client base, developing new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Achieve or exceed weekly, monthly and quarterly sales and activity targets.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales strategies targeting specific client personas and market segments.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients across OEMs, component manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers such as Sales & Marketing Directors, Product Managers, and Strategy Directors.
  • Present and promote syndicated market reports to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and track opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor products, and market developments.
What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in lead generation or business development in a related industry.
  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in HVAC, construction, or market intelligence.
  • Strong cold calling and lead generation skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office.

Desirable:

  • Experience with SaaS, DaaS, or B2B data-driven services.
  • Familiarity with Sugar CRM, Dimensions, or Focalpoint.
